Travel Plans

The Study Tour will start on the 8th of September. We will leave the Netherlands and embark on a fantastic journey through Japan. We will visit the cities Tokyo, Hiroshima, Kyoto and Osaka. In those cities, we will visit many different companies in the biomedical field but also experience the cultural highlights. Currently, we are in contact with a lot of interesting companies and are exploring all cultural activities, so the itinerary is still open.

Japan’s bustling capital blends futuristic technology with historical landmarks like Senso-ji Temple, and serves as a global leader in biorobotics and medical imaging, with companies like Cyberdyne and Canon Medical Systems advancing innovations in robotic rehabilitation and diagnostic technologies.

Hiroshima

The 19th of September to the 21th of September

Hiroshima has an important role in the history of Japan. This city was the first military target of a nuclear weapon in history. The Hiroshima peace memorial is a UNESCO World Heritage site which serves as a memorial of the bonding. Hiroshima has rebuild and is now the largest city in the Chugoku region.

Known for its vibrant street food scene and historic sites such as Osaka Castle, Osaka also provides excellent healthcare facilities, with renowned institutions like Osaka University Hospital specializing in advanced medical care and research.

The the 27th of September to the 1st of October

Revered as Japan’s cultural heart with iconic sites like Kinkaku-ji and Fushimi Inari Shrine, Kyoto is also home to prominent biomedical research institutions such as Kyoto University’s Center for iPS Cell Research and Application, recognized for its pioneering stem cell breakthroughs.
